Woman Reports Assault By Two Men On Hanover Walking Trail

HANOVER (CBS) – Hanover police said a woman reported she was assaulted by two men Sunday afternoon while running on the Colby Phillips walking trail located on Pleasant Street.

Officers conducted a search of the area but no suspects were found. There were no further details of the reported assault available.

One suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a muscular build. Police said the victim reported he was wearing a dark hoodie, light gray sweat pants and his face was covered. He was wearing a gold necklace and described as having a heavy tan line on his neck.

The second suspect was also described as a white male, about 6-foot-2 with a muscular build. He was wearing a dark baseball hat with a white "CG" emblem, dark sweat pants, white running shoes with red laces. Police said he was also described as having very pale skin and freckles on his hands.

Police have increased patrols in the area of the reported assault and will continue to investigate the incident.
