Woman Dies After Being Pulled From The Water Off Nantasket Beach

HULL (CBS) -- A woman died hours after she was pulled from the water at Nantasket Beach Sunday. The Hull Fire Department responded to Corbin Street and Beach Avenue for an unresponsive woman around 2 p.m.

Bystanders initially thought the 69-year-woman was just floating on her back, the fire department said. When they realized she wasn't moving, they called 911 and began CPR.

Emergency crews continued CPR and rushed her to South Shore Hospital.

The woman has since been identified as Amy White of Hull. No foul play is suspected.
