88-Year-Old Woman Hit, Killed By School Bus In Amherst

AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts authorities have released the name of the woman struck and killed by a school van exiting an elementary school.

The Northwestern district attorney's office said Thursday that 88-year-old Eva Fenner was struck at Crocker Farm Elementary School in Amherst on Wednesday afternoon.

No students were hurt.

Neighbors say the victim lived near the school.

Amherst police closed off several streets near the school as officers and firefighters responded to the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by Amherst and state police.
