Woman Hurt In Hit-And-Run On Route 9 In Newton

NEWTON (CBS) – State Police are looking for help tracking down a driver wanted in a hit-and-run in Newton Tuesday morning.

A 23-year-old woman was crossing Route 9 west at Woodward Street around 6:30 a.m. when she was hit by a car that did not stop.

The woman was taken to Beth Israel Hospital with what police called "non-life threatening injuries."

They're searching for a four-door sedan and any witnesses to the incident.
