Woman Dies After Falling Off Cruise Ship Near Cape Ann

BOSTON (CBS) – A woman has died after she went overboard on a cruise ship leaving from Boston.

The Coast Guard got the distress call from the Seabourn Quest at about 7:00 p.m. Friday night. The ship was 10 miles off of Cape Ann at the time.

The Rockport Harbormaster recovered the woman's body at about 8:30 p.m.

The ship left the Black Falcon Pier and was bound for Bar Harbor, Maine.

It is not known how the woman fell off the ship.

The 650-foot ship is registered in the Bahamas and can carry 450 guests.
