LONDONDERRY, N.H. (CBS/AP) — New Hampshire's attorney general says authorities are investigating the death of a woman in Londonderry.

The body of 41-year-old Maureen Argie was found dead inside a home on West Road Thursday night when officers conducted a welfare check. The death is considered suspicious.

Police canvassed the neighborhood going door to door.

One man said there was no sign anything unusual had happened until police showed up. "I'm just surprised," said one neighbor. "All we saw was the lights. We waited and looked and looked. We're finding out as you are."

An autopsy was conducted Friday morning by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The cause and manner of Argie's death are pending further investigation.
