Woman Charged With OUI In Brockton Hit-And-Run

BROCKTON (CBS) -- A Brockton woman has been charged with operating under the influence after a hit-and-run incident Wednesday night that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

Police responded to the area of 789 East Ashland St. at 8:44 p.m. to a report that a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene, Plymouth Country District Attorney Timothy Cruz said. The pedestrian was taken to a Boston-area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A silver 2011 Honda CRV matching the description of the involved vehicle was located on Hartley Street, where 53-year-old Kathleen Casey was taken to the police department, Cruz said.

Casey is charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She is set to appear in Brockton District Court on Thursday.
