Fire Marshal Says Cause Of Turf Time Blaze In Woburn Was Electrical
WOBURN (CBS) -- The Massachusetts State Fire Marshal's office says the blaze that tore through several businesses on Main Street in Woburn Tuesday was electrical in origin.
The three-alarm fire, which began Tuesday afternoon, started above a suspended office ceiling between the first and second floors of Turf Time, an indoor soccer facility at Main and Union Streets in Woburn.
The fire caused traffic delays and the closure of Main Street.

The Fire Marshal's office said the business was closed at the time, and as a result, the fire was able to grow undetected in the space.
The old converted theater building housing Turf Time was deemed a total loss. A strip of attached businesses, including Cousins Restaurant and Amor Amor Bridal, was also damaged.
