BOSTON (CBS) -- A wintry mix led to several crashes and minor power outages across Massachusetts on Sunday morning.

Up to 3 inches of snow fell in northern parts of the state overnight, and sleet continued to make for messy morning travel.

"Temperatures are expected to continue at or near freezing in interior Massachusetts through early-to-mid morning today with the potential for freezing precipitation through late morning, especially in the northwest," the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency said in a statement.

Holliston police said they responded to multiple crashes in town, but there were not any reports of serious accidents.

"The roads are slick out there this morning folks," Hopedale police said on Twitter. "Pls take it slow until the temps rise."

There may also be isolated instances of street flooding or poor drainage in the afternoon and evening due to the rainfall, MEMA said.
