Police Investigating Death Of Elderly Winchester Woman

WINCHESTER (CBS) – The Middlesex County District Attorney's office is investigating the death of an elderly woman in Winchester.

The woman was found inside an Edgewater Place home around 2 p.m. on Sunday.

She was transported to Lahey Hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.

Authorities have not released the woman's identity.

The district attorney's office called it an "open investigation."
