Woman Killed In Crash With Whitman Wheelchair Van Identified
WHITMAN (CBS) – A woman who was killed when the car she was a passenger in collided with a wheelchair transportation van on Route 14 in Whitman has been identified.
Francine Laterza, 61, was riding in a Nissan that investigators say crossed the center line and slammed into a van with three people inside at about 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Laterza died about an hour later. The driver of the Nissan was transported to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
All three people in the wheelchair van suffered minor injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
