Westwood NFL Super Fan In Final Running To Win Super Bowl Trip

WESTWOOD (CBS) – There are the jersey donning, face painting, tailgating, season-ticket-holding, never-miss-a-game Patriots fans. But they don't hold a candle to 7-year-old Patriot super fan Zac Ventola, his family says.

"Zac eats, sleeps, and breathes football, particularly the Patriots," Zac's sister, Ari Ventola, told WBZ-TV. "He has not missed a day of public Patriots Training Camps since he was three years old and he has never gone to school without Patriots clothing on."

Zac, who lives in Westwood, has already beat out thousands of kids nationwide and is now among three finalists to be the NFL Play 60 Super Kid. The contest offers the biggest young football fan in the nation to win a week-long trip for four to the Super Bowl and hand off the official game ball.

"Want to know why I'm Play 60's Super Kid? That's easy," Zac said in his video on the contest's website. "I eat right. I love football. And I lead with the game for 60 minutes a day no matter what the weather."

The contest winner – decided by public votes -- will also receive a school visit from an NFL player. If Zac, a second grader at Deerfield Elementary School in Westwood, wins, his school will also receive $10,000.

The contest is part of a joint program by the USDA and the NFL to encourage kids to eat healthy and enjoy physical activities for at least 60 minutes a day.

Voting ends December 15.
