Elderly Woman Rescued From Weston House Fire

WESTON (CBS) – Firefighters rescued an elderly woman who was locked inside a second floor bedroom when flames broke out at a Weston home.

The fire broke out just after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday on Bradford Road.

A man and his son had safely gotten out of the house, but told firefighters that an 84-year-old woman was locked inside.

Firefighters forced their way into the room and found the woman on the floor. She was barely breathing when taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

As of Friday morning, the woman was in stable condition.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
