West Bridgewater Cemetery Offers 'Drive-By' Visitation

WEST BRIDGEWATER (CBS) --- There's a unique way to visit deceased loved ones in West Bridgewater: drive-by visitation.

Pine Hill Cemetery, located on Route 28, will allow people to pull up and stop, pay their respects, and say a prayer for their cremated loved ones, without ever getting out of their cars.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Kim Tunnicliffe reports

Cemetery officials are installing three round columbariums which can hold about 800 urns. The columbariums are at eye level and located at the front of the cemetery grounds for maximum convenience.

The Pine Hill Cemetery Association said it's adding more columbarium units to conserve space at the cemetery and to keep pace with the demand to house cremated remains.
