Why I Run: Nicole Jacobs Inspired By Mother, Patient-Partner, Friend Battling Cancer

BOSTON (CBS) - WBZ-TV's Nicole Jacobs is running her fourth Boston Marathon and she's doing it all for charity.

Each year she has run for Dana Farber Marathon Challenge (DFMC) where 100% of funds raised go directly to Cancer research and clinical trials.

Nicole runs in honor of her mother who is a breast cancer survivor, a dear friend currently fighting stage IV breast cancer who just completed her 75th chemotherapy treatment and she runs for a patient partner who was diagnosed with Leukemia at 2 1/2.

Nicole says running 26.2 miles is the least she can do to help achieve a world without cancer.
