Former School Bus Driver Accused Of Molesting Young Child

BROOKFIELD (CBS) - A former Quaboag Regional School District bus driver has been accused of molesting a child.

Michael King, 47 of Brookfield, is charged with indecent assault and battery of a child under 14, as well as reckless endangerment.

King is accused of molesting a friend's child for years.

"He gave me a creepy vibe from day one," the mother of the seven-year-old alleged victim told WBZ about King.

The alleged abuse occurred on September 2nd when the boy was visiting his father's apartment in Warren, Massachusetts. The seven-year-old didn't tell his mother until Saturday that King came into his bedroom and touched his privates over his pants.

According to a police report, the boy says he told his father what happened and his father made King leave, but never went to police.

The boy later told investigators King had been molesting him for three years.

Michael King was a bus driver for the Quaboag Regional School District from November 2016 to June 2017.

The superintendent sent an email to parents saying while they have no reason to believe any students were affected by King, they are holding an informational meeting Tuesday night to answer questions.

In addition, the state Department of Children and Families is investigating.

"The Department of Children and Families received a report on this situation and is investigating in collaboration with law enforcement," a DCF spokesperson told WBZ-TV Tuesday.
