Wakefield Police Ask For Help Finding DCF Runaway

WAKEFIELD (CBS) - Wakefield police are asking for help finding a 14-year-old girl who likely ran away from the Department of Children and Families program in that town.

Officials say Rosalinda Chavez has been missing since March 7.

She was last seen at Everett High School, where she is a student.

Wakefield police say she has a history of running away, but they believe that she may be in danger.

She's described as Hispanic, with light skin, 5'5" tall, and weighing about 160 lbs.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Wakefield police.

Officials say she has known ties to Everett, Boston and New York City.

A recent report said at least 134 kids in DCF custody are currently unaccounted for.
