VP Joe Biden To Attend Boston Marathon Bombing Memorial Service

BOSTON (CBS) - Vice President Joe Biden will attend a memorial service in Boston on the one year anniversary of the marathon bombings.

The service will be held at the Hynes Convention Center on Tuesday, April 15.

It will be a memorial to those lost in the bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, and a tribute to how the city has recovered.

Mayor Marty Walsh and Governor Deval Patrick will lead the program.

The audience will include One Fund families and first responders.

Last year, Biden attended the memorial service for MIT Police Officer Sean Collier, who was allegedly shot and killed by the marathon bombing suspects in Cambridge.
