Volkswagen Recalls 662,000 Atlas, Passat Vehicles Over Headlight Issues

HERNDON, Va. (CBS) – Volkswagen is recalling some Passat sedans and Atlas SUVs for headlight issues.

According to CNET, more than 662,000 vehicles have a defect that would allow drivers to adjust their own headlights, which is illegal.

Tinkering with the headlights' horizontal aim may result in them not illuminating the road properly or causing a glare for oncoming drivers.

The recall affects vehicles made as far back as 2012.
