VIDEO: Somerville Police Looking For Passenger Who Shot At Mercedes

SOMERVILLE (CBS) -- Police are looking for information about a shooting between two cars at an intersection in Somerville. A video of the incident was tweeted by the police department.

It occurred around 7 p.m. on Saturday at the traffic light intersection of Mystic Avenue and Temple Street.

According to police, the passenger of the silver/gray Toyota pointed a black gun out the driver's window and shot at the dark Mercedes to the left of the car in traffic.

"Now I want to know what's going on here," said Kim Demarco, who owns a flower shop across the street from where the shooting occurred.

Police who have gone public with the images hoping for information that might help them sort out what happened. Demarco expects a police visit to check on her 13 surveillance cameras.

"We catch a lot of stuff," Demarco said. "Every time something happens, Somerville Police, State Police come and look at our cameras."

Police have obscured the plates of the vehicles involved, so they've clearly followed up on that already. The Toyota with the shooter onboard proceeds straight on Mystic Avenue, while the targeted Mercedes takes a left on Temple Road.

The police chief says they have no proof anyone was hit by gunfire and aren't sure if the occupants of the cars knew each other.

Anyone with information is asked to call Somerville Police at 617-625-1600 ext. 7235.
