Victorino Goes On 15-Day DL; Bianchi Called Up From Triple-A

BOSTON (AP) — The Red Sox have placed right fielder Shane Victorino on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with a tight left calf.

To take his place on the roster, the club called up infielder Jeff Bianchi from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Victorino left Saturday's 8-3 win over Los Angeles with the tight calf that caused him to miss the previous two games. It's his second stint on the DL. He was on it at the end of April with a strained right hamstring.

Victorino hit .255 in 20 games with one homer and three RBIs.

The 28-year old Bianchi hit .302 in 17 games with the Pawsox, driving in four runs with no homers.
