Victim ID'd In Easter Morning Shooting And Stabbing In Mattapan

BOSTON (CBS) — Police have released the name of the man who was killed in an early morning shooting in Mattapan on Sunday.

Officers were responding to calls of a person stabbed on River Street around 2:10 a.m. Sunday when they found Chaz Burton, 26, of Lynn, shot to death at the scene.

A second man in his 20s was found suffering a non-life-threatening stab wound, and was taken to Carney Hospital.

Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call Boston Police.
