Van Dyk, McFadden Win Boston Marathon Wheelchair Divisions

BOSTON (CBS) - Ernst Van Dyk of South Africa is back on top. Van Dyk won the 2014 Boston Marathon Men's Wheelchair Division race with an unofficial time of 1:20:36.

The ten-time Boston champion hadn't won since 2010.

Tatyana McFadden of Clarksville, Maryland won the Women's Wheelchair Division. She crossed the finish line with an unofficial time of 1:35:05.

For McFadden, who is celebrating her 25th birthday, this was her second Boston Marathon and second consecutive victory.

"The support all along for the 26.2 miles, every mile there was a crowd of people there," she said. "We were just exhausted and tired, but the support from and the energy from people calling your name, it was just wonderful."

After the race, McFadden gave away her winner's wreath to Carlos Arredondo.

Samuel Spencer and Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jessica Kensky finished first in the Handcycles men's and women's divisions.
