UMass Memorial Newborns Were Patriots' 'Most Adorable Good Luck Charms' During SBLIII

WORCESTER (CBS) - The next generation of Patriots superfans made their sweet debut over Super Bowl weekend! Among the new arrivals at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester – was little Adriana who will go home to Shrewsbury. Her mom tells WBZ she was due last Tuesday, but had another grand entrance in mind.

"My sister invited us over [for the Super Bowl], I'm like, 'All right, we'll maybe go there. I'm feeling alright. We'll have some food and watch the game, enjoy it.' Of course my water breaks," said Patrice Peris.

Adriana's dad, naturally a Pats fan, was a good sport; never revealing his concerns nearing kickoff.

"I think he's trying not to let me know he's looking at the clock, but he's probably like 'for the love of God! Come on!'" Peris said.

In the end, this little fan knew what she was doing... arriving at 3 Sunday afternoon, with plenty of time to find a good seat.

"Perfect timing. Get settled, get into the room. See the anthem, God Bless America. Kickoff, we're good to go!" Peris added.

The exhausted mom managed to keep her eyes open for the game, knowing all along the day was already a win.

"They got their ring, I got my little girl," she said.

Adriana and the nearly two dozen other newborns in the South 4 nursery were decked out in handmade Patriots blankets and pom-pom hats which were made by hospital nurses.

"We think they are the most adorable good luck charms we've ever seen," the hospital posted on Facebook.
