UMass Lowell Building Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat

LOWELL (CBS) -- A University of Massachusetts-Lowell academic building was evacuated Monday afternoon after a reported bomb threat, the college said.

Coburn Hall on South Campus was being inspected by officials, the school said in a Facebook post at 2:44 p.m.

The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad swept the building and declared it safe. The building is scheduled to reopen for classes later in the day.

The investigation into the threat is continuing.
