U.S. Marshals Arrest Man Wanted In Quebec Attack At Groveland Home

GROVELAND (CBS) – U.S. Marshals arrested a man in Groveland who was wanted by Canadian authorities for a violent attack on outside a nightclub in Quebec in 2009.

Ziak Akl was arrested at a Groveland residence Wednesday afternoon by the U.S. Marshals Massachusetts Fugitive Task Force.

Akl allegedly attacked and stabbed a bouncer outside the Red Lite club in Laval, Quebec.

He appeared in U.S. District Court in Boston Friday for an extradition hearing.
