Two Women Injured In Shooting At Forest Hills MBTA Station

BOSTON (CBS) – Two men have been arrested after a shooting at the Forest Hills MBTA station Monday afternoon.

According to Transit Police, a man armed with a gun exited the station, turned around, and began to fire shots into the station before fleeing the scene.

Two women who are not believed to be the intended targets were injured. Boston EMS responded to the station for a 60-year-old woman complaining of back pain. She was not aware that she had been shot, and was taken to a local hospital for a life threatening injury.

Another woman suffered a non-life threatening graze wound.

Police say two 18-year-old men from Boston were arrested. Their identities have not been released.

Transit Police are investigating the possibility that the shooting may be gang related.
