Two Teens Arrested For Allegedly Shooting BB's At Worcester Church
WORCESTER (CBS) -- Two teens were arrested Sunday after allegedly shooting BB's at a church in Worcester.
Those who were in the Worcester Apostolic Lutheran Church around 12:20 p.m. heard what sounded like BB's hitting cars outside shortly after mass, pastor Robert Macki told WBZ-TV.
Three children were also playing in the parking lot when the shots were fired.
A BB shot through the glass pane on the front door of the church just as parishoner Ilona Ekengren walked outside to investigate, Macki said. No one was hurt.
"I opened the door and the shot came just as I closed the door. Kind of frightening for a Sunday morning," Ekengren told WBZ-TV's Paul Burton.
Ekengren's 15-year-old granddaughter noticed a window across the street was opened at the time of the shooting but moments later it was closed.
When police questioned the home owners they discovered two foster children had a BB gun under the bed.
Worcester Police arrested the two 17-year-olds who lived in the home.
The teens' foster parents agreed to repair the damage to the church door, Macki said.
