Two Men Rescued From Icy Reservoir In Foxboro

FOXBORO (CBS) – Two men were rescued from the icy Neponset Reservoir in Foxboro Sunday afternoon.

The two men were ice fishing when they fell through at about 4:00 p.m. A woman who was with them ran to help, but also fell through the ice. She was able to get out on her own, but the two men had to be rescued by firefighters.

A 40-year-old man was transported to Mass. General Hospital by medical helicopter. A 60-year-old man was transported by ambulance to Norwood Hospital. Both men are expected to be OK.

The woman was evaluated at the scene but refused to be transported to the hospital.
