Two Men In Taunton Car Crash Were Found Shot

TAUNTON (AP) — Taunton police are investigating after two men involved in a car crash were found outside their vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers responding to the scene at about 11 p.m. Sunday found that a car that had crashed into a yard. The two male occupants of the vehicle were found on Plain Street with gunshot wounds.

Police say the men were shot at from a second vehicle they think came up behind the victims' car.

Detective Capt. John Reardon says one man was shot in the arm and the other in the abdomen.

A 27-year-old man was taken to Morton Hospital, and a 28-year-old man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Both are being treated for injuries not considered life threatening.

There have been no arrests.
