2 Teens Dead In Dorchester Shooting, Third Critically Wounded In Roxbury

BOSTON (CBS) - Two teenagers are dead and a third is in critical condition after two separate shootings in Boston Sunday.

The violence began on Wildwood Street in Dorchester around 4:45 p.m. when police found two boys, ages 16 and 17, suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both rushed to the hospital where they died. Their names have not been made public.

In addition to investigators, trauma teams were also in the neighborhood to help anybody suffering psychologically from the effects of these shootings.

"It's very unfortunate, like families live on this street. There is a lot of violence," one man said. "I hope that things get better from here."

Nearly seven hours later, around 11:30 p.m., an 18-year-old was found shot on Maple Street in Roxbury. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. His name has not been released.

There have been no arrests in either shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Boston Police at 617-343-4470.
