On Friday night at about 11:15 p.m. a caller had reported a vehicle driving on the tracks, but a search by the MBTA did not locate the truck. The last outbound train did not notice a vehicle on the tracks either.

Saturday morning a caller told police that the truck was on the second track, and police found it about 300 feet from the West Washington Street crossing.

A Middleboro resident owns the truck, but the owner told police they did not know how it ended up on the tracks.
