Travis Shaw To Start Season As Red Sox Third Baseman

BOSTON (CBS) -- Travis Shaw will start at third base for the Boston Red Sox to begin the 2016 season, manager John Farrell told reporters Thursday morning.
Farrell met with both players Thursday before making the announcement, according to the Boston Globe's Pete Abraham.

The move sends former starting third baseman Pablo Sandoval to the bench.
