Tom Brady's Thursday Night Speaking Engagement Still On

BOSTON (CBS) -  With the Ted Wells report painting Tom Brady in a particularly bad light in regards to the DeflateGate investigation, many are wondering if the Patriots quarterback will make his scheduled appearance at Salem State University on Thursday night.

As of right now, the sold-out event, moderated by Emmy-winner sportscaster Jim Gray, will go on as planned, according to Karen Murray Cady, the senior director of university relations.

"As of right now all system are go," Murray Cady told 98.5 The Sports Hub's Andrew Celani when reached by cell phone Wednesday afternoon.

This will be Tom Brady's first public appearance since the report was published earlier today, and while the national media is likely chomping at the bit to ask the future Hall of Famer questions regarding the case, they will not be afforded that opportunity based on capacity restrictions.

"We're totally full both in our audience and our media [capacity]," Murray Cady said.
