Tom Brady Returns To Patriots Practice Tuesday

BOSTON (CBS) -- After being excused from the team for the past two days for non-injury-related reasons, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will return to practice Tuesday. ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss first broke the news on Twitter.

Brady missed the Patriots' practices on Sunday and Monday at Gillette Stadium over what Patriots head coach Bill Belichick termed a "personal matter." Brady was excused from the team's first preseason game against the New Orleans Saints to attend a memorial service for a family member, then missed last Thursday's preseason tilt against the Chicago Bears after reportedly cutting his thumb with a pair of scissors.

It's unclear whether Brady's personal matter from the past two days is connected to any other reasons for his absences in the preseason.
