Tom Brady Not At Patriots Practice On Tuesday, Will Attend Wednesday's Court Session

BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was not on the practice field Tuesday morning at Gillette, and will attend Wednesday's DeflateGate settlement hearing in New York according to USA Today.

Brady missed practice last Tuesday ahead of the first of two settlement hearings in federal court. Judge Richard Berman had excused both Brady and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell from attending Wednesday's upcoming court session last week.

The NFL and NFLPA are still battling over Brady's four-game suspension stemming from the findings of the Wells Report. Berman has urged both sides to reach a settlement on their own, but that doesn't appear likely, even with the 2015 NFL season just around the corner. If no settlement is reached, the two sides would like Berman to rule on it by September 4.

Following Tuesday's practice session, the Patriots head to West Virginia for a pair of joint practices with the Saints, leading up to their preseason tilt Saturday night in New Orleans.

Zolak & Bertrand discuss Tuesday's developments:
