Tom Brady Named AFC Offensive Player Of The Week For 25th Time In Career

BOSTON (CBS) -- For the 25th time in his career, Tom Brady has been named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week.

The Patriots quarterback earned the honors by completing 26-of-38 passes for 356 yards with four touchdowns in New England's 36-7 win over the Miami Dolphins last Thursday night. It was the 24th four-plus touchdown game of his career, and his 19th career game with four or more touchdowns and no interceptions.

Brady's 25 AFC Player of the Week honors are second in NFL history to the 27 won by Peyton Manning. This is Brady's first AFC Player of the Week honor since Week 12 of the 2013 season.

This marks the second time this season that Brady has been recognized with an AFC honor. He was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.
