Thousands March In 2014 Boston Pride Parade
BOSTON (CBS) - About 25,000 people marched through the streets of the city Saturday as part of the 44th annual Boston Pride Parade.
Music filled the air downtown and floats and rainbow colors covered most of Boylston Street all the way to City Hall Plaza.

Boston Pride President Sylvain Bruni said even though a great deal of progress has been made on LGBT rights, more needs to be done.
"It's important to be visible because we need still to have the focus on some of the discriminations that the LGBT community faces, " he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
"We need transgender individuals to have a certain number of laws that are going to protect them more than they currently are."
Governor Deval Patrick and Mayor Marty Walsh led the parade as grand marshals.
Bruni said people came from far beyond Massachusetts for this event.
"We also have international groups and some international performers at City Hall Plaza. We're trying to have, basically, the world come to Boston to celebrate pride."
