Tewksbury Police Seek Man Who Used Large Knife During Robbery

TEWKSBURY (CBS) – Tewksbury police are searching for a man they said robbed a store in town using a large knife early Saturday morning.

According to police, at 3:20 a.m. officers were called to Tedeschi Food Shop on Main Street for a report of an armed robbery.

The store clerk told police that a man entered the store, held a large knife to him and demanded money. The suspect allegedly took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area in an older model white car, according to police.

Police are looking for a suspect who is described as a white male in his early 40s with a white scruffy beard. The man is believed to be about 5'7" and 170 pounds.
