Teen Shot Behind Shopping Plaza In Rowley

ROWLEY (CBS) -- Police are searching for a suspect that shot an 18-year-old man in the leg behind a shopping center in Rowley on Sunday.

Police responded to reports of gunfire in a wooded area behind a shopping plaza on Newburyport Turnpike around 5p.m. and found the victim.

Police say another teen walked into the police station shortly after the incident saying he had been shot at in the same area.

The victim was treated at a nearby hospital and released.

Police have identified a suspect and a search is underway. Police say the suspect and the victim know each other.

The incident is under investigation.
