Technical Glitches Plague Mass. Registry Branches

BOSTON (AP) — The Registry of Motor Vehicles says it is once again experiencing technical problems.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation on Monday reported "intermittent service interruptions" at branch offices around the state and AAA facilities that offer RMV services. The problem is said to be causing longer than normal wait times for customers.

A technical issue also forced a temporary shutdown of Registry branches on Friday.

The RMV is apologizing to customers and says it is trying to determine the cause of the interruptions. In the meantime, customers are being urged to conduct business online at www.MassRMV.com , to avoid long waits.
