Teacher On Leave After Allegedly Sending West Boylston Student Inappropriate Message

WEST BOYLSTON (CBS) -- A special education teacher is on administrative leave after allegedly sending a West Boylston Middle-High School student an inappropriate message.

The teacher has been interviewed twice in the past 48 hours, according to West Boylston Police Chief Dennis Minnich.

As of Friday morning, the man had not been charged with a crime and won't be identified. He has been ordered not to have any contact with students at the school on Crescent Street.

No one answered the door at the teacher's home in Shrewsbury where he apparently lives with his in-laws, according to WBZ-TV's Ken MacLeod.

Prosecutors are said to be seeking a search warrant for a computer at the house. Until more information comes to light, neighbor Glenn Kalinowski says he won't pass judgment on the teacher.

The investigation began Wednesday afternoon when a boy told staff the teacher had allegedly sent him an inappropriate message.

Police and detectives with the Worcester County District Attorney's Office have since spoken with the student and his parents.

No additional details were immediately available.
