Sutton Police Take Runaway Pigs Into Custody

SUTTON (CBS) – Sutton Police received a call for a pair of perpetrators on the run this morning, but they weren't the usual suspects.

Officers responded to Boston Road where pigs had escaped from their home and were on the loose.

Police posted pictures of the pigs on Facebook.

The officers waited with the pigs to help reunite them with their owners, and even petted one until she fell asleep.

Sutton Police showed they had a sense of humor about capturing pigs, saying "the irony of this situation is not lost on us" in reference to a certain nickname used by some when talking about police officers.
