MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Manchester police say they caught a bank robbery suspect after his getaway vehicle got stuck in a snowbank.

Authorities say the man robbed the TD Bank Saturday morning, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers viewed footage from a bank security camera and an officer on another part of the city saw a driver matching the description.

The driver, 36-year-old Matthew Ireland of Manchester, took off when police tried to pull him over and then lost control of the vehicle and became stuck in a snowbank. He ran away but was caught after a brief chase.

Police say an undisclosed amount of money was recovered from Ireland. He's charged with robbery and disobeying a police officer. It was not immediately known if he is being represented by an attorney.
