SWAMPSCOTT (CBS) – Police made an arrest Sunday in an Everett convenient store robbery in which a 67-year-old clerk was shot.

Swampscott police received an anonymous tip that a suspect in the Feb. 17 robbery and shooting was hiding out in an apartment on Humphrey Street in Swampscott.

Members of the North Metro SWAT team made up of Revere and Everett police officers were called in and at about 6 p.m. the SWAT team entered the apartment without incident and arrested Gary A. Green, 52, of Peabody.

Green was allegedly caught on surveillance robbing the Neighborhood Convenience store on Main Street in Everett last month.

The store clerk, Moses Khan, was shot twice during the robbery but survived. Another employee was beat up during the robbery that involved two men.
