Suspect Arrested In Beating Of Chicopee Bar Owner

CHICOPEE (CBS) – A Springfield man has been arrested for allegedly beating and robbing a Chicopee bar owner last week.

Police released surveillance video of the attack, and say tips led them to 34-year-old Wilmer Torres.

Video shows two men beating the 64-year-old bar owner, Mario DoCarmo, with a metal rod. DoCarmo says he confronted the men hoping to scare them off.

Police are still looking for another man involved in the attack.
