Surgeon Killed At Brigham And Women's Hospital Laid To Rest

WELLESLEY (AP) — Hundreds of people attended the funeral of a cardiac surgeon who was shot to death in a murder-suicide at a prominent Boston hospital earlier this week.

The service for Dr. Michael Davidson was held Friday at Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley, a Boston suburb where he lived with his wife and three children, ages 9, 7 and 2.

Boston police said Davidson was shot Tuesday morning at Brigham and Women's Hospital by Stephen Pasceri, who then killed himself. Pasceri's sister and brother said he may have held Davidson responsible for the death of their mother in November.

Davidson's widow, plastic surgeon Terri Halperin, told people at the funeral that her husband was well-liked by his patients and it was shocking and devastating that a patient's relative would kill him.
