Extra Rare Supermoon Makes For Stunning Photos
BOSTON (CBS) – A rare supermoon truly lived up to its name overnight.
The last time a full moon was this close to the Earth was in 1948.
Photographers across New England were lucky to have clear skies that allowed for stunning shots of the supermoon.
It was a sight to see for skygazers around the world as well.
A supermoon can appear as much as 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than some other full moons.
Our next shot at a supermoon like this won't come again until 2034.
