Summer Of Savings: Boston's Outdoor Concerts

BOSTON (CBS) – WBZ-TV's Summer of Savings is taking you outside the box this weekend for some family fun that will keep everyone from grandma to baby entertained.

Outside The Box is a five day arts festival that is now underway with hundreds of acts, including big names from music, theater and dance, all for free on Boston Common.

Things got started with a Throwback Thursday concert from Smashmouth.

It keeps rolling Friday with the rock band Daughtry taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.

The festival will feature more than 100 acts from bands to puppet shows and dance performances.

It's now through Sunday with free concerts from big names like Lea DeLaria, known as "Big Boo" from Orange is the New Black.

She will perform along with local acts like Blue Man Group and Tanglewood Marionettes.

BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY CONCERTS

Music will continue to fill the streets of Boston throughout the summer.

Wednesday nights you can enjoy the historic courtyard inside the Boston Public Library as it plays host to budding musicians from Berklee.

The hour-long concerts feature everything from jazz to folk. And it doesn't stop there - Berklee students will perform all over the area as part of their summer concert series.

TITUS PARK

We aren't forgetting the kids.

Get ready to jump, dance around and sing their favorite classics Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. in the South End's Titus Park.
