Father, Son Escape Burning Sudbury Home

SUDBURY (CBS) -- A home in Sudbury was gutted by a fire Monday evening.

Flames broke out at about 7:30 p.m. in a 2-and-a-half story home on Whitetail Lane while a father and son were inside. Both escaped safely.  The other two residents were out on an errand when the fire started.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the fire, but the flames caused serious damage to the home, according to fire officials. There is no word yet on what caused the fire or where it originated.

No injuries were reported.
